2016 Scholarships

The JMAC Memorial Hockey Fund Scholarships are awarded to players whose coaches and peers have recognized as demonstrating optimism, sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct both on and off the ice. With help from generous personal and corporate contributions, proceeds from the JMAC Memorial Hockey Fund and the JMAC Memorial Hockey Tournament are put into the fund for several hockey and education scholarships for Minor Hockey and Canucks players.

These kind players have made a difference, and a positive impact on their teammates.
Congratulations to...

  • Phillip Chadder (Jr. B Canucks)
  • Brooker Miur (Jr. A Whalers)
  • Owen Pullar (Minor Atom AA)
  • Dakotah Johnstone (Minor Atom A)
  • Tommy Dallman (House League)
  • Owen Messina (House League)
  • Tristen Comeau (House League)
...on being chosen as the winners of the 2016 JMAC Memorial Hockey Fund Scholarships.

These young gentlemen are each the recipient of a hockey scholarship that will be directly contributed to Niagara Falls Minor Hockey for their 2016-17 season. It is our hope that as they each continue forward in athletics and in life, they continue to inspire others by making a positive impact and being kind to those around them.

Congratulations again, we wish you each the best of luck in your future endeavors and always remember...

"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does." ~William James.

With help from generous personal and corporate contributions, proceeds from the JMAC Memorial Hockey Fund and the JMAC Memorial Hockey Tournament will be put back into the fund for successive tournaments as well as several hockey and education scholarships for Minor Hockey and Canucks players.

The scholarships will be given annually to players who have exhibited positivity, sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct – the exact qualities that John brought to every game he played.
